A. Philosophy – Raising questions
B. Research – Seeking answers
C. Science – Providing practical evidence and application
A. Philosophy
In the early days, human knowledge about the universe was very limited. Philosophy is the main repository of primordial knowledge. Every problem of the world and life was posed to man in the form of a question, man tried to tame nature by giving an answer to whatever question appeared. Trying to solve the basic questions or problems of the human mind through logic is called philosophy. The task of philosophy is to find the answers to the basic questions of the human mind and to try to solve the basic problems of life and the world. The term philosophy was first coined by the Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras. Also, the term philosophy was coined by Pythagoras ( 570-495 BC ). The Greek philosopher Thales is called the father of philosophy.
The Bengali synonyms of philosophy and philosopher are darshan and darshonik. The word philosophy is derived from the Greek words philos and Sophia. The word philos means affection and Sophia means knowledge. Philosophy is a disciplined study of knowledge that ponders and analyzes fundamental questions. Philosophy is very important in producing Agar oud from agar plants, which helps us to reach our desired goal. Philosophy is the discussion of basic principles like consciousness and the knowledge processes of human society. Only at one stage of the development of human social consciousness has it become possible for man to think about the world and life with an analytical eye. Man has not had such a capacity for thought since the moment of his creation. At one level of human consciousness development, man begins to think about his environment. Humans seek to gain knowledge about the mysteries of the natural world in order to better protect their lives. Philosophy is one of the key means of developing awareness in agar oud production. Research activities are extremely important for the proper application of philosophy and the determination of its outcomes.

Agar research institutions work to create effective models for Agar oud production, ensuring long-term financial stability for local farmers.
7. Increase in International Trade: Agar oud products are highly valuable in international markets. Research helps improve the quality and sustainability of Agar oud, allowing for the production of internationally standard products, contributing significantly to foreign exchange earnings.
These research efforts contribute to making the Agar oud industry sustainable, economically viable, and environmentally friendly, which is crucial for the industry’s long-term future.
C. Science
Science is the knowledge of nature that explains and analyzes natural phenomena based on data obtained through observation and experimentation. The English word science comes from the Latin word scientia, meaning knowledge. In Bengali, the word Vigyan means special knowledge. We define modern science as that which is observable and repeatable, concerned with matters relating to humanity as a whole and not merely with self-interest. Albert Einstein referred to Galileo as the father of modern science. All the tasks that are taken seriously in science are as follows-
1. The first task of science is to collect specific data consistently.
2. Analyzing the collected data.
3. Arriving at complete conclusions or final conclusions through analyzed data.
Science is the center of research, and here are the data principles and sources of all research. Which is applied to solve new problems every day.
I. Types of science
Science is primarily of two types. Under these two types, there are various branches. Science is generally divided into two main categories:
1. Natural Science
Natural science studies the various elements, laws, and natural phenomena of the universe. Its major branches include:
Physics: Discusses the behavior of energy, matter, and the cosmos.
Chemistry: Studies the composition, properties, and transformations of matter.
Biology: Focuses on the structure, function, and evolution of living organisms.
Geology: Studies the Earth’s structure and processes.
Astronomy: Studies the universe and celestial objects.
2. Social Science
Social science focuses on the study of human society and behavior. Its major branches include:
Economics: Research resources, production, and economic activities.
Sociology: Discusses human society and social relationships.
Political Science: Studies political institutions and activities.
Anthropology: Researches the origins, development, and culture of humankind.
